What is the Flex Pilot app?

With the Flex Pilot app – powered by moovel – you can book a taxi on demand. The app automatically determines your location, so all you need to do is enter your destination. It then shows you your pickup location and soon you’ll see your Flex Pilot. Unlike a traditional taxi, however, the Flex Pilot picks up and drops off other passengers on their way to your destination.

How do I use Flex Pilot?

You can download the Flex Pilot app free of charge from the Google Play Store for Android devices and from the Apple App Store for iPhone users. After you download the app, use your e-mail address to register and you’re ready to go.

How do I register in the app?

Register in the app using a moovel user account. This will allow you to use other moovel services, such as the moovel app with integrated car2go, mytaxi, and DB services or the KVV.mobil app for the Karlsruhe public transportation system.

Why don’t I need a password?

You register with an individual access code that you receive by e-mail. Once you activate this code, your profile will be associated with the device and the e-mail address cannot be used on any other smartphone.

Can I change my e-mail address?

Of course. Simply send an e-mail with your new e-mail address to hallo.flexpilot@moovel.com.

Can I change my personal data?

Yes, you can easily change your personal data with the app by going to “Personal data” and “Edit”.

Is it free to use the app?

During the Flex Pilot test phase, you ride completely free of charge. Therefore, to book a ride during the test period, you do not need to save a payment method.

How do I get my invoice?

Right after you successfully book the shuttle, you will receive an e-mail with the corresponding invoice (per booking) in PDF format. You can also enter a billing address in the app. During the Flex Pilot test phase, the invoice will show a charge of € 0.

Where is Flex Pilot available?

The Flex Pilot business area covers Stuttgart and selected suburbs (VVS area).

How do I book a ride using the app?

You can look for a connection within the Flex Pilot business area and during business hours. If you select the displayed connection, you will receive an overview of the connection details. You will then be able to book the ride. Once you have successfully booked the ride, you will see an overview of your active booking. This will show you the exact pickup location as well as all other current information about the ride.

At what times is Flex Pilot available?

We will be back on the road from February 8 to 10, February 15 to 17, and February 22 to 24. On Thursdays and Fridays, the service will be available as usual from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. the following morning. New: the shuttle now runs from 4 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays.

Can I make bookings for several people at the same time?

Grandma, grandpa, friends – bring everyone with you. You can easily book additional riders using your account. However, you must enter the number of passengers during the search process. It is not possible to change the number of passengers after the booking has been completed.

Can I travel with my child?

We have two booster seats (group 2 and 3), suitable for kids weighing between 15 and 36 kg. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee you that these are not already being use by another passenger.

How far in advance can I book a ride using the Flex Pilot app?

Flex Pilot can only be used for immediate bookings. Advance bookings are not possible. Once a vehicle is offered in the app, you have one minute to decide whether you would like to be picked up.

Is there a guarantee that I will receive the desired shuttle?

Especially when there is a lot of traffic, the vehicle may already be full and as a result you will not be able to ride in it. You will receive a notification informing you that the booking cannot be completed. However, the app will then find another shuttle that is also nearby. The current waiting time will be displayed at all times.

Will the shuttle take me directly to my destination?

The idea behind the Flex Pilot app is that it connects multiple passengers who are going to destinations that are in the same area. The app determines a route for the driver that allows him to pick up and drop off passengers. As a result, there may be minor detours, depending on how many passengers are in the shuttle.

Can I cancel my ride?

You can cancel your ride free of charge at any time before you begin your trip. All rides are free of charge during the test period. If you are unable to begin a ride, please cancel it anyway in order to make things easier for the other passengers and the driver.

I have forgotten my PIN. What can I do?

No problem. Call us during Flex Pilot hours at 0176-30938913 and we will reset it for you. You can of course also send us a request by e-mail to hallo.flexpilot@moovel.com.

How do I cancel my account?

We are sorry to hear you want to cancel your account. To do so, please send your notice of cancelation to hallo.flexpilot@moovel.com from the e-mail address you registered with the Flex Pilot app. We would be happy to learn why you no longer wish to use our service.
